POLYESTER: STRONG AND DURABLE

Polyester is the common name for glass-fibre reinforced polyester resin that is not affected by UV radiation, extreme heat or extreme cold. Polyester is exceptionally strong and guarantees CalfOTel boxes a virtually unlimited useful lifespan. The durability of polyester is almost unlimited, which is why it is frequently used in silo construction. A polyester silo with a lifespan of over thirty years is quite normal. After being used continually for many years, the long lifespan of glass-fibre reinforced boxes has now also been proven.

Another major advantage of polyester is that it is UV-resistant. CalfOTel boxes keep out all sunlight. The white exterior reflects light, which keeps the box interior cool even under high ambient temperatures. The openings in the roof of the box also guarantee optimum ventilation.

The smooth gel coating on the inside protects the glass fibre and makes the box easy to clean. The coating prevents chinks and cracks developing, which could cause drafts or harbour pathogens such as, for example, bacteria and viruses.
